On May 12, 1979, Yue Global Y.p.c. launched MD-UE8Z, branded as Yue Global Channel 8. This was Malodin's first independent station.

On January 10, 1983, MD-UE8Z started to brand itself as Channel 8.

1994-1999
On March 1, 1994, MD-UE8Z rebranded as 8 Yue.
YMCE-TV
1999-2003
On October 24, 1999, the station was renamed to YMCE-TV.
YLOV-TV
2003-2008
On February 14, 2003, Romantic Media Y.p.c. bought the station from Yue Global, renaming the station to YLOV-TV, with an entirely romance lineup.
