After the merger between Esquire Horror, Esquire Edge and, the largest channel of the three, Esquire+, GBC Holdings acquired Disney's then-owned 15% of the channel and made Y+ into a full-on youth-focused channel, with horror programming at late night and gaming-focused programming in selected days.

In June 2018, Y+ announced to sell its gaming-focused programming to sister channel Hyper, while the rest of it's programming was to be moved to Jetix and Nostalgic. The channel was announced to be shut down in July 2018.
