On March 6, 2020, William Steve who served as broadcasting director of WIN Television announced that they are hiring a team to create the first cathup service in history. The name of the new service was given the nickname "iWIN" as a result of the service trial provided to several beta testers. This project was suddenly canceled on March 12, 2020 for no apparent reason. Steve added his new reasoning that "The iWIN nickname project suddenly encountered stability issues and bugs that could potentially cause the team to tire of dealing with this".
WIN Play[]
2021-2022 (prelaunch)[]
On December 9, 2021, Joko Roberto from the owner of the company Organizações WIN restarted the project and brought the team from the rest of the company RBRTV Play & ThamesPlayer. The nickname "iWIN" is now the current name of WIN Play. The first version of the cathup will be released on December 12, 2021.
This logo is the first logo of a WIN company that does not follow WIN standards, using an identical design to the Sky channel logo, which will become the current logo in 2022 with the use of the new WIN logo instead of their 2006 logo. The logo was only launched in its pre-launch period.
2022[]
On February 24, 2022, WIN Play was finally unveiled on the eve of its launch. The new service displays various programs and others that WIN displays. As of February 26, 2022, WIN Play is launched for the Portugal and Africa region replacing Mini Now and Mini On. Unfortunately, the status of this catch-up service changed to independent after the company left due to the bankruptcy and blocking of Joko Roberto-Jonaten Xima.
On May 20, 2022, RedeCom announced that they would be purchasing WIN Play as part of their complementary digital services portfolio. They ended up buying WIN Play on June 7, 2022, changing their name to XPlay for full global service, with the Brazilian catch-up service on WIN Play being moved entirely to RedeCom+.
