The station rebranded again on September 15, 1990, changing the callsign to WSTR-TV, to go along with its new branding of Star 64.
1998–2004[]
2004–2006[]
2006–2009[]
WSTR-TV later reverted back to being a UPN station in the fall of 2006, pulling the latter affiliation from low-power station WBQC-LD, which resulted in The WB moving to WKRC-TV's new digital subchannel.
Additionally around this time, WSTR-TV began carrying 4Kids TV programming, after it was dropped by WBQC-LD, after the station became a independent station as a result of UPN moving to WSTR-TV.

The Star 64 branding was restored on September 15, 2009.
