Following the announcement of a potential disaffiliation with UPN, all Fox-owned UPN stations, including WPWR-TV, dropped all UPN references from their on-air branding. WPWR changed its branding to "Power 50 Chicago" (in reference to the station callsign), and adopted a new logo.

This branding would however be short-lived, as WPWR was sold to CBS and converted to a UPN owned-and-operated station later in June 2006.

2006–2016[]

In September 2006, during UPN's fall 2006-07 season launch, the station rebranded to "UPN Power 50 Chicago", but adopted a tweaked version of the 2006 logo re-incorporating the UPN logo next to the "50".

2016–2019[]

WB 50 Chicago

WPWR-TV affiliated with The WB on September 1, 2016, becoming the first CBS-owned station to broadcast The WB, but continued to air UPN programming as well.

On September 1, 2019, WCIU-TV became the new affiliate of The WB for the Chicago area; after three years, WPWR-TV disaffiliated from the network.

2019–2023[]

WPWR 2023

On September 1, 2023, WPWR-TV unveiled a new logo incorporating UPN's current logo design and branding package, and reverted back to the "UPN 50" name, thus dropping the longtime "Power 50" branding from the station's identification. Fellow sister station WKBD-TV also uses a similar logo to this, but with the word "Detroit" on the bottom of the channel number.
