WLIG[]
1985–August 1996[]
WLIG was sold to the Paramount Stations Group in 1994. In 1995, WLIG joined UPN, although they kept the original name and branding until September 1996.

WLNY's "NY 55" branding lasted between September 1996 and December 1996, following the call letters being changed from WLIG to the current WLNY-TV.
1997–2006[]

WLNY's "TV 55" branding lasted between 1997 and 2006. During that logo's run Paramount's parent company, Viacom purchased CBS Corporation in 2000. The merger resulted in a duopoly, which merged channel 55's operations with CBS-owned-and-operated WCBS-TV's facility. On December 31, 2005, WLNY shut down its analog signal and became a digital-only station (only four years before all TV stations shut down their analog signals on June 12, 2009).
2006–2012[]

In 2006, UPN and The WB were both shutdown and merged to form The CW. The CW went to Tribune's WPIX. MyNetworkTV, a new network launched to fill the void left by stations that did not join The CW, went to WBIS-TV, the sister station to the Fox network's flagship station, WNYW. WLNY reverted to being independent and changed its branding from TV-55 to TV 10/55 to reflect its cable and satellite channel assignments (Verizon FiOS, Cablevision and Xfinity carry WLNY on channel 10). For several years prior to the rebranding, it had been using an onscreen graphic identifying the station as "WLNY 55/10".
2012–2023[]
WLNY-TV debuted a new logo in July 2012. This logo is similar to KCAL-TV logo, in which the station is also owned by CBS and a sister station to West Coast flagship KCBS-TV.
2023–present[]

On September 12, 2023, WLNY introduced an new logo that returned to its previous "New York 55" branding for the first time since the September–December 1996 period as part of a company-wide rebranding of its CW stations, as they transitioned into independent stations on September 1; the logo is similar in "city + channel" form to sister stations in Philadelphia (WPSG), Atlanta (WUPA), Detroit (WKBD-TV), St. Petersburg (WTOG), and Tacoma (KSTW).
