The Versatility Television (VTV, formerly Sunshine Broadcasting Company (SBC) from 1965 to 1982, Viva Television Network (VTN) from 1982 to 1986) is a Philippine free-to air television network owned by Staten Island, New York City-based mass media company United World Media.
Sunshine Broadcasting Company[]
1965-1972[]
The Sunshine Broadcasting Company (SBC) began its telecast on August 16, 1965 through DZRO-TV on channel 8 in Metro Manila. It was launched by Lily Monteverde, who also founded the biggest movie production company in the Philippines, Regal Entertainment, Inc. This logo resembles to the famous NBC peacock logo from 1956 until 1975, sans the peacock and the colors is now changed from sunshine yellow to dark brown red.
The “ei8ht” logo was influenced by WJKW-TV (now WJW) in Cleveland from 1966 until 1977. It also applies the same way to other television stations in the United States, KAET in Phoenix, KAIT in Jonesboro, Arkansas, KFMB-TV in San Diego, California, KNOE-TV in Monroe-West Monroe, Louisiana, WGHP in High Point-Greensboro-Winston-Salem, North Carolina, WMTW in Portland, Maine, WROC-TV in Rochester, New York, and WSLA (now WAKA) in Montgomery, Alabama. On January 30, 1982, Viva Entertainment acquired the Sunshine Broadcasting Company.

On June 1982, SBC-8 was rebranded to Viva Television Network (VTN), with a new slogan "The Great Entertainer". The "VTN" wordmark was based on the logo of Viva Films, which is the motion picture division of Viva Entertainment.

In New Year's Day 1986, VTV added the channel number frequency in Metro Manila, making it said VTN8. On the final day of the People Power Revolution on February 25, 1986, Viva Entertainment sold the Viva Television Network to Winnipeg-based CanWest Global Communications.

On March 6, 1986, the Viva Television Network was renamed to Versatility Television (VTV), with a new slogan “Great Things Happen!”, replacing the previous slogan. The logo features a green abstract "T" between the two upside-down triangles, the former triangle is in red and the latter triangle is in blue. The logo resembles to the other VTV in Vietnam (abbreviated as Vietnam Television) used later in 1995.

Versatility Television got a revamp in 1995, consisting of two stylized letter Vs and a slanted letter T in the middle that fits like a puzzle piece. The colors in this logo are red, yellow and blue, symbolizing the flag of the Philippines. The logo is similar to the HTV "Aerial" logo from 1970 to 1992 and fellow television channel in Indonesia, Warna Televisi Indonesia from 1972 until 2017.

In 1998, Versatility Television modified the logo by giving some rounded edges to the bottom-left part of the red V, the top-left and bottom-right parts of the yellow T, and the bottom part of the blue V. The colors are more vibrant, reflecting the color change in the Philippine flag, and the outlines are more pronounced.

In October 2002, the Versatility Television introduced a new slogan, "Paglilingkod Sa Buong Isla" ("Serving the Whole Island"). This logo consists of red, green and blue arcs next to the similar and a modified VTV logo (the rounded edges are applied on both Vs and the whole design is in 3D).

On March 31, 2006, VTV introduced a new logo made with blue, red, and yellow ribbons and a new slogan, "Paglilibang sa Pilipinas" ("Entertaining the Philippines"), replacing "Paglilingkod Sa Buong Isla" ("Serving the Whole Island"). The 2006 logo came back in 2013.

In 2007, VTV adopted the logo style from the owned-and-operated stations of the Canadian E! system. On August 31, 2009, Cuben Corp (now United World Media) purchased VTV from Canwest as Canwest began its bankruptcy. VTV also retitled the slogan from "Paglilibang sa Pilipinas" ("Entertaining the Philippines"), to "That's a Good Feeling!".

It just announced on November 27, 2023, that VTV will be rebranding on January 15, 2024, marking the first time to rebrand in 9 years, with changes including more thinner stroke, more spaced out letters and the colors are now in light-red.
