1996-2000[]
In 1996, V was launched as a secondary channel to Star World.
The logo was similar to the original Channel V but the "Channel" text was removed and the V is orange.
In 2000, V was closed down due to low ratings, it was later relaunched in 2007.
2007-2013[]
In 2007, V was relaunched as a music channel, the programs from the original Channel V was moved there as of result of becoming a Japanese entertainment channel like JSTV and NHK World Premium.
2013-2016[]
2016-2019[]
In 2019, V Centralia was closed down again. It was replaced with the current version of Channel V which uses the international feed for 2 years.
