I got a new iPad!
Hi, this is Driller from the administration team.
I caught the Black Friday crowds at Best Buy and I just finished seeing Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, after having to wait an hour to get my hands on it. The battery on my previous iPad failed, so I had to get a new one. Luckily, I got mine for only $250 because of the Black Friday sale.
Here are the specs of my new iPad:
- Color: Gold (I chose this color because all that glitters on my high school diploma is gold.)
- Model: iPad 6th Generation
- Capacity: 32GB

What the heck is... Hurst Day!?
Okay. I’m not even tempted to tell you this, but okay. I will.
Hurst Day is a day at Mercyhurst University where classes are cancelled and you participate in various activities presented at the university. It’s usually a randomly selected day in October. You can say it’s similar to a school cultural festival in Japan. Additionally, students team up in groups of four and participate in a scavenger hunt game while wearing homemade costumes, or cosplay as various characters. I saw two teams representing Mario Kart and another representing Shrek (gee, they need to bring that meme back).

Work schedule for Fall 2018
Hi, this is Driller.
Mercyhurst University started their Fall 2018 semester today. I now have to be tied to a fixed schedule in order to keep up what's on the site. I was pretty much unable to work while I was in their Create program, as the regular working hours were 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Mondays through Fridays. Now that I do not have to deal with that anymore, I have more time to tackle whatever project's on my mind. I don't know on how much homework or how many term papers I might have to get done. Here's the schedule:
How to get Hoot to run on Windows 10 if it won't start
A few days ago, I got a new computer (see my previous post). It is a Dell G7 15 with an Intel Core i7 Generation 8. However, I noticed that the Japanese music player program Hoot Sound Hardware Emulator wouldn't start. The following error message would result:
- Device Initialization Error: "d3dx9_42.dll"
The real reason for this happening is because the file I mentioned above wouldn't start because the program isn't compatible with newer DirectX libraries. A way around this, if you really want to run Hoot on your new computer is you will need to download the June 2010 DirectX runtime package from Microsoft's website.
