This logo is similar to UWN O&O stations WUWN-TV in New York City and KUWN-TV in Los Angeles from 1957, albeit the numbers swapped and the "1" in "21" is modified.

On September 6, 1994, UVS-TV became a NBC affiliated station, in exchange with UWN programmings moving to UCP-TV. The "21" was retained, but it is even less thicker. Fisher Communications acquired UVS-TV on November 6, 1994.
