UCP-TV took over the control by Kaiser Broadcasting in 1969.
The station gained the NBC affiliation from USA-TV in 1979, turning USA-TV into an independent station and changed its callsign to UPN-TV. During the NBC affiliation, this logo continues to use the logo from the "Field" era after 1983, when Field-owned stations was sold to different owners.
UCP-TV was sold to Belo Corporation from Field Communications in 1983, which then sold all Field-owned station as part of its liquidation. This logo was changed in March 17, 1983, retiring the Field-styled logo.
The NBC peacock was updated slightly, but keeping the "26" logo from 1983.
This station was taken all their affiliation control by UWN which it was resulted in exchanging its NBC affiliates with UKS-TV (now independent) in September 6, 1994; as the result of the realignment of TV broadcasting in the United States of America. The station was purchased from Belo Corporation to Hearst Television.
