Toonvision Rewind launched on 3 April 2006 to celebrate the launch of Toonvision itself five years prior.

In 2013, Lava Lamp Entertainment announced intentions to discontinue Toonvision Rewind's operations by the end of at least 2015. On 31 December 2014 at 23:59 GMT, the channel closed down after rebroadcasting Toonvision UK's first day on the air (which had started at 0:00 AM that morning).== 2020-present ==

On January 30, 2019, CPN Holdings sold the Funhouse brand to MBS Corp, as well as select assets. The channel was revived as Funhouse on March 1, 2020.
