in 1997, Minimax and Viva was launched as timeshared channel, which airs kids programming under Minimax branding from 6am to 3pm and music programming (for teens and adults) under Viva (now The Studios) branding from 3pm-12am (6am from 2000).
in 1998, after Viva Films files lawsuit against FBN Corporation and Viacom for stealing "Viva" name, FBN decided to rename Viva to The Studios, it would retain Viva Germany graphics until July 2020.

on January 1, 2019, Viacom sold rest of its stake of The Studios to FBN Corporation.
