The Big Channel launched in Southeast Gavin on 27 May 1991, and it became the first children's cable channel in Southeast Gavin, and also the first children's channel in Southeast Gavin. It is based on an Argentinian children's cable channel of the same name. The Big Channel closed in Southeast Gavin on 29 March 1999, and it was replaced by a relaunched version of Cartoon Network in Southeast Gavin.
