The Children's Channel[]
1984-1993[]
LOGO MISSING |
TeenNick was originally launched as The Children's Channel in 1984. It broadcast children's programming from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM on weekdays and 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM on weekends, time-sharing with the now-defunct Lifestyle Channel.
1993-1994[]

In 1993, the SatVision Multichannels package was launched. It included The Children's Channel, which now time-shared with The Family Channel (later rebranded to Challenge). They also introduced an afternoon block of teenage programming named TCC.
1994-2000[]
They changed their logo, and I don't feel like writing about it. In 1997, with the split of the channel into two (more information below), The Children's Channel was now located on the former time shift channel. It shut down in 1998 due to a lack of viewers, but an automated feed of 4 weeks of programming was carried until 2000 on SatelliteVision. It was relaunched as Trouble Reload, which was later renamed as Trouble +1 (and then shut down in 2008).
Trouble[]
1997-2001[]

In 1997, The Children's Channel decided to spin TCC (and thereby all of their teen programming) into a separate channel named Trouble. This would timeshare with Bravo, which had also gained TCC+1's channel space. Bravo would broadcast from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and Trouble from 12:00 to 8:00 PM. These hours would later be extended from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
2001-2005[]

In 2001, Trouble stopped timesharing with Bravo and gained its own channel. It also gained a new logo around that time.
2005-2010[]

In 2005, Trouble changed its logo to focus more explicitly on the teenage audience. It also started airing more popular sitcoms, and was moved out of the "Kids" section on SatelliteVerse and to the "Entertainment" section.
TeenNick[]
2010-present[]

In 2010, Flextech El Kadsre was bought out by MTV Networks UEKN. The Trouble name was axed, and it was rebranded as TeenNick. In 2011, the rest of Flextech El Kadsre was sold off, and TeenNick remains the only part of Flextech that's still part of Paramount Global today.
