In March 1st of 1997, Starz Was Launched In Japan. The star was composed of two stars, one large one and one smaller one a silhouette inside the first star.

Starz Launched It's HD Broadcast In Japan On March 15th 2006.

In 2005, Starz Japan Rebranded Along With Starz Comedy, Starz Kids & Family, Starz Edge, Starz InBlack, Starz Entertainment, Starz Media and Starz Cinema, designed by PMcD Design[1]. The logo features a hand-drawn star shooting upwards and the text "starz" is now rendered in lowercase letters and utilizes Helvetica Black as its typeface. This Logo Was Revived In October 23rd 2009, To Promote The Premiere Of Thomas and Friends: The Great Discovery On Starz Edge (Japan).

In 2008, Starz Rebranded Again With Starz Comedy, Starz Kids & Family, Starz Edge, Starz In Black, Starz Entertainment, Starz Media and Starz Cinema. The star is now bursting through between the "a" and the "r" in "starz". This logo was originally designed by Troika Design Group. Unlike Starz In The US, It Does Not Use The 2016 Logo.
