In June 2021, it was announced that Sky Network Indonesia would be closing their Sky Series channel as part of the company's restructuring. Sky Series was finally axed on 31 December 2021 and replaced by Sky Showcase, while the entertainment and drama output previously broadcast on this channel moved to another new channel Sky Max.
