RTL Nostalgia was launched in February 4, 2004 as a historical archive USSR channel. In 23 April 2007, RTL Nostalgia was off air because as the same day as the death of Boris Yeltsin. In 25 April 2007, the channel was start on air return after funeral of Boris Yeltsin.
