R2 Radio was formed from most of Laserium Radio UK's channels, Bukidnon Radio channels and the Laserium Radios in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Lebanon, Latvia, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland and Ukraine.
In January 2017, Laserium Radio bought out Rire et Chansons and Chérie FM brands from NRJ Group, along with the radio station Nostalgia's operations in Guadeloupe, Guyana and Réunion and NRJ's operations in New Caledonia and Tahiti.
Right before merger into R2 Radio, Laserium Radio Europe bought out international radio channels FMC Radio Ibiza, Girl Power Radio, FMC Radio Club, FMC Radio Mastermix, FMC Radio Soleil, FMC Radio New York, FMC Radio RnB and FMC Radio Lounge.

In 2016, Trace Partners was bought out by Laserium-GBC Networks. However, it spun off shortly afterwards, but the radio station remained until April 2017.

RevoMusic
RevoMusic was an unsigned, self-signed and other emerging musical talent showcase programme, launched by John River Entertainment in April 2017. It was acquired and merged into R2 Radio in August 2017.

R2 Radio was founded as an interactive netradio, available as localized versions throughout Europe, and since 2019, Asia. They acquired the RevoMusic programme and plans for a radio station, targeting women aged 30+, from John River Group. Shortly afterwards, they were merged into the R2 Radio team. In June 2019, R2 Radio filed for bankruptcy, and its assets were sold to international radio broadcasting companies, as well as SiriusXM Satellite Service.
