TV R was renamed MTV Shows on March 1, 2010, when the MTV channels in Dalagary were relaunched. The new idents for MTV Shows were created by Proud Creative in London.[1]

One reason behind the launch of MTV Shows was to give an outlet in the Entertainment section on the Dalagary Skyplatfom. On this platform, all music channels are grouped very high up on the electronic programme guide, which made the main MTV channel suffer from low ratings. On February 1, 2011, the main MTV channel moved to the Entertainment section, and MTV Shows was closed.

The channel is shutdown on September 14, 2022 and replaces by MTV 00s and MTV Hits. It will stop broadcasting at 6 a.m.
