Lighthouse TV is a commercial-free educational and entertainment pay-per-view service that is launched on June 30th, 1985 and offers quality educational programming combining with programs from various pay-per-view services such as DirecTV Pay-Per-View and InDemand. It also broadcasts sporting events (featuring HBO's World Championship Boxing and Boxing After Dark) and entertainment specials (such as music, stage, and theatre). It is owned by Lighthouse Networks, Inc. which is a joint venture of InDemand Networks and Harmony Grove Public Schools. The channel and its multiplex services broadcasts from primary studios at Caldwell Elementary in Benton, Arkansas with secondary studios at Harmony Grove High School in Haskell, Arkansas.
Lighthouse TV operates 3 multiplex services and one previews channel in addition to the main channel:
- Playhouse Lighthouse: A preschool channel of Lighthouse TV with direct-to-video specials, movies, and shows for preschoolers; formerly Lighthouse TV 2 until February 1st, 1999
- Lighthouse Library: A channel for the best-selling entertainment with shows and movies along with educational specials based on the books you saw at the library; formerly Lighthouse TV 3 until February 1st, 1999
- Lighthouse Zone: A high-school based entertainment channel with movies and original programming for high-school students and also features WWE pay-per-view events; formerly Lighthouse TV 4 until February 1st, 1999
- Lighthouse TV Previews Channel: A barker channel that promotes upcoming programming on Lighthouse TV and its multiplex services featuring previews of what will be airing this month or this week; it launched on March 24th, 1986
