In 1997 Dot Records create LTB Limited a division of Sony. In 2013 Sony renames LTB Limited in Dot/LTB Entertainment a division of Sony.

The label has been resurrected in 2014 through a joint venture between Big Machine Label Group and the Republic Records unit of Universal Music Group which owns the original Dot Records catalogue. It is based in Nashville, Tennessee and its General Manager will be Chris Stacey.(Note: this is Real).Dot Records continue to be by Dot/LTB Entertainment now a division of NBCUniversal.
