In January 2006, RKO Holdings bought a 3,9% stake in the Kingdusk Corporation. In October 2008, RKO Holdings bought 100% of the company and turned into a division of RKO Games.

In 2020, Kingdusk and a few other studios were either sold or shut down as part of the re-independence plans by Qube Holdings. Kingdusk was spun off.
