On October 14, 2016, news broke that Lava Lamp would be closing down KawaiiTV on December 31, 2016. Lava Lamp confirmed it on October 17, 2016. The original plan was to replace KawaiiTV with [[Holmes]], however on November 6, 2016, Lava Lamp stated that Holmes would take over [[Yumi]]'s channel space instead, owing to its carriage on DirecTV, Dish Network, Comcast and several other providers (KawaiiTV, at time of closure, had been carried only by AT&T U-Verse, Google Fiber and a few other smaller providers). |
