January–June 2006[]
Following the announcement of the disaffiliation of UPN from Fox-owned stations, all Fox-owned UPN stations, including KUTP, dropped the UPN name and logo from their on-air branding. KUTP replaced the UPN logo with "PHX" (the airport code for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport), and changed its branding to "PHX 45".
This branding would only be temporary, as the station was sold to CBS in May 2006, and was converted into a UPN owned and operated station.
June 2006–2017[]
In June 2006 after the station was sold to CBS, KUTP revived the "UPN 45" name that was temporarily phased out earlier in January prior to the announcement of Fox dropping UPN from their stations. The station adopted a modified version of the January 2006 logo design, but with the blue box stretched to feature the UPN logo, and the "Cable 9" text below was resized to fit the box.
