KDCN-DT is a television station, serving Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan statistical area, founded in early 1970s and owned by Laserium Television Stations.

In 1984, KPMT affiliated with Nickelodeon and changed there call sign to KPMN. The call letters stand for Paramount Nickelodeon.

On March 3rd 1990, KPMN changed their call sign to KNIC and became a full-time Nickelodeon affiliate.

On May 9th 1994, Nickelodeon gave it's affiliate to FUNimation Entertainment.

2005–2015

The TV station was independent Anime network until 2015 as FUNimation moved to KHKS-TV.

On September 7th 2015, after 21 Years of being a FUNimation affiliate, they terminated the contract with Funimation, and became a Cartoon Network affiliate.

On March 1st, 2016 KDCN tried to get Anti-Bad People Group to buy the station, but ABG then declined. However, in June 2016, the station was acquired by Laserium Television Stations.
