1986-1993; 1993-1995 (secondary)[]
On June 1, 1986, Redmond, Washington-based Nintendo of America brought KEYS-TV changing its station's callsign to KNTS-TV, which stands for the Nintendo Television Service. This was branded as Nintendo Television Service. KNTS-TV lost its MBS affiliation, sending its affiliation to KWAY-TV (channel 6), which then KOOK-TV (channel 10) gained its UWN programming from KWAY-TV. KNTS-TV became an independent station.
Nintendo Television Service had a plan that it could expand into an entertainment television network prior to the launch of The WB and UPN in 1995 and as well as competing the other two, but it never happened.
The logo was used in tandem with the next logo.
1993-1995 (primary)[]
This was the first time KNTS-TV changed the primary logo to show a legal callsign and a channel number, making the last logo from above a secondary logo that was used for newscasts, sign-ons and sign-offs. Everything was stylized as the Super Nintendo Entertainment System logo.
KCBW-TV[]
1995-1998[]
Pulitzer, Inc. sold KNTS-TV in 1995. The Nintendo Television Service was shutdown due to its "failed broadcasting attempt" and gained the UWN programming from KOOK-TV, reverting it back into an independent station. The callsign was changed to KCBW-TV. The "24" number still used the last logo from above since the affiliation switch.
Hearst-Argyle Television acquired Pulitzer's entire broadcasting division for $1.8 billion in 1998, the sale was finalized on March 18 of the following year (1999).
