Primarily serving the Izu peninsula area, the Izu-based IZT first signed on the air in 1973.

1986-2005[]

Izu TV (1995)

In 1995, IZT merged operations with neighboring RG while maintaining separate identities.

In 2005, the RG-IZT consortium merged with a struggling SB Hamamatsu Television. Thus, bringing the station back up from bankruptcy and covering the entire prefecture in the process.
