Hop! Was launched as both Hop! and Arutz HaKtantanim in November 8, 1989 alongside with with Arutz HaMishapa, Arutz HaSratim, Arutz HaSport and Arutz HaYeladim, it was also the first cable channel.

The channels' idents are were animated by Anima Studios.

in 2005, Zebra Communcations teamed up with SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, NBCUniversal, DiC/Cookie Jar, and Corus Entertainment and announced that Hop! will go worldwide with its international feed before the launch of KidsCo (2007-2013 era).

The first international channels of Hop! that they were launched are Romania and Schelipoerys in 2006.

in January 1, 2012, Boom Hop! (alongside with the other Boom channels) and Digipoerys Hop! (alongside with the other Digipoerys channels) closed and replaced by the regluar Hop!
