2011-2012 (prototype)

in 2011, Taugaran start-up company, "Digital Hoganon Company" wanted to experiment scrambled channels, which would cost small fee individually, government approves that idea and Taugaranese locals loved that idea and call that idea as "ultimate cord-cutting solution".

HTN

2012-2016

in 2012, The Paid Channels' official name was revealed as "Hoganon Terrestrial Network", hosting on TZHC-TV 82 (with 82.1 being unscrambled for preview), TZ__-TV 83, TW__-TV 84 and TZ__-TV 114, HTN initially offers AXN Asia, Disney Channel Asia, Fox Movies Premium, Animax Asia (now removed on March 1, 2021), Channel M (now TVN Asia), Asian Food Channel, AXN Beyond (later BeTV, now defunct), Discovery Channel, Sony Entertainment Television later Sony Channel, now defunct), Cartoon Network, Boomerang Asia (later defunct and relaunched later in 2015), Screen Red (now Red by HBO), Nickelodeon (now removed on 2017), DIVA Universal (later DIVA, now defunct), E! (now defunct), Universal Channel (now defunct), SyFy (now defunct), TV5Monde Asie, NHK World Premium and TVE Internacional, HTN's set top box cost 100 El Kadsreian dollars (with free permanent access of 5 channels of any of your choice) while access to each channel for 1 month would cost 1-3 El Kadsreian dollars, it went extremely popular.

in 2013, infamous hacker group, named as "InFueGoTauGaRan" learned that HTN used older encryption, which is easier to crack, however HTN partners with Irdeto to combat InFueGoTauGaRan and piracy, and also patch the crack.

2016-2021

in 2016, after Android TV-powered HTN set top box was unveiled, new logo of HTN was unveiled.

in 2018, HTN partners with BBC to launch TW__-TV 85 and add BBC's Southeast Asian channels (BBC World News, CBeebies, BBC Earth and BBC Lifestyle), however BBC's channels would add as bundle (named as "BBC Channels") instead of individual channels, and also BBC Channels will be also as freebie for new users (making total of 8 (later 9 and now, 11 as of March 12, 2021) channels).

in May 23, 2019, HTN announced partnership with Nintendo to launch Nintendo Switch model with built-in HTN tuner, making the first video game console to officially have built-in terrestrial TV tuner in Taugaran Nintendo Switch with HTN Tuner was officially launched on May 31, 2019, Nintendo Switch with HTN tuner is still on market as of now, later on June 2, 2019, HTN inks more partnerships with Nintendo to make HTN tuner possible on older Nintendo system (only supported so far are Game Boy Advance (with help from unknown Chinese company, who is responsible for selling TV Tuner for GBA), Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo DS/DS Lite (via GBA tuner), Wii, Nintendo DSi (powered by existing tuner that already exists in Japan) and Nintendo 3DS/New Nintendo 3DS) and also sell these older Nintendo system with built-in HTN tuner (regardless of device) starting June 23, 2019.

in March 19, 2020, HTN temporarily unscrambles all of its encrypted channels until July 1, 2020, amidst COVID-19 pandemic.

in November 2020, ahead of Analog shutdown, many Taugaranese locals are rushed to get HTN STB, causing breaking news about "People are falling in long lines to have HTN set-top-box, along with Xbox Series X and PS5".

2021-present

in March 5, 2021, HTN unveiled 3 set-top-boxes (Android TV and Google TV-powered set-top-box, SiliconDust's HD HomeRun Connect-powered recordable set-top-box and AMD Ryzen, Windows and Seagate-powered recordable set-top-box) (which all 3 would go on sale on March 12, 2021), upgraded premanent access to channels freebies (up from 5 channels to 7 channels) (which will be effect from March 12) (however existing users who registered before March 12 will add 2 channels without additional fee) and new channel for TZ__-TV 95 with 9 new channels and TW__-TV 96 with 2 new channels (all 11 channels launches March 12) along with new logo, which will be in effect immediately.

in March 7, 2021, following the announcement about HD HomeRun Connect-powered HTN set-top-box was unveiled causing Plex Server users in Taugaran are going crazy over that DVR STB but some cannot have Plex Pass, HTN announced to release Limited Edition HD HomeRun Connect Quatro-powered set-top-box with free Lifetime subscription to Plex Pass on March 12, the limited edition sale ends on September 30, 2021 or supplies last, that announcement went quickly popular among Plex users without Plex Pass subscriptions.

in March 30, 2021, HTN announced that channel 99 will start commence on April 26, 2021, with 9 new channels, Nickelodeon+ (simulcast of Nickelodeon Philippines but with "+" next to onscreen bug), TeenNick, NickToons, MTV 80s, One Sports+, Treehouse (Canadian feed, much like YTV and Teletoon), CinemaWorld, Jeepney TV and Oh!K, on April 1, 2021, these 9 channels (along with Nick Jr., MTV Live HD, tvN Movies and Club MTV and starting April 12, Lionheart) suddenly added to their lineup earlier than scheduled date and became available to everyone until April 13 (Lionheart, Nick Jr. and MTV Live HD), April 26 (channels in channel 99) and May 1 (tvN Movies and Club MTV), on that day (April 1), Channel 99 was commenced earlier than scheduled.
