In 1994, Minimax Canadian Holdings launched the Canadian version of Minimax.
In 1998, Minimax Canadian Holdings was renamed to GreenWarp Holdings, as plans for GreenWarp were already in progress.
Until 2002, GreenWarp only existed in the name of GreenWarp Holdings, which was operating Minimax in Canada at the time. In 2002, however, GreenWarp launched its own channel, which first shared the same channel as Minimax (GreenWarp would operate from 6:00 AM-12:00 PM, Minimax would operate from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM, and then it would switch back to GreenWarp from 6:00 PM-10:00 PM). On February 20, 2006, Minimax shut down and GreenWarp became 24/7, filling in the timeslot previously used by Minimax.
