S4C launched in Canada in 1996. It is available in the English, French (C4Q) and Welsh languages.

In the Quebec province in Canada, S4C Canada is known as C4Q (Canal Quatre Québec, meaning Channel Four Quebec in French.) The channel's earliest ident featured the S4C logo turning into the C4Q logo, but it was removed from the air very quickly after viewers complained about the ident's racism. The dragon idents were used until 2011.
2011-2015[]
The dragon idents were finally retired after 15 years of use. C4Q was named "C4/Q" at this point.
2015-present[]
C4/Q was renamed back to C4Q.
