Healey Motors was founded in 2016 by John River Group after acquiring the GM Autoworld plant in Pondok Ungu, Indonesia, the Elizabeth, South Africa plant formerly owned by GM Holden, Austin-Healey patents and trademarks and British Motor Heritage.
They also opened vehicle plants in Argentina (Buenos Aires), Chile (Arica), Portugal (Azambuja) and India (Halol). In 2017, shortly before merging with Laserium Motors, they acquired General Motors South Africa.
Velocidad Motors were formed by the merger between Velocidad and Solare.
On January 30, 2019, EME Group acquired the Velocidad Motors group of marquees (consisting of Velocidad and Solare) from Quito Inc. and also relaunched the Healey Motors marquee for luxury vehicles.
On July 1, 2019. Qualis (former owner) gave EME to Quest Auto
