2007-2011[]
The license for a B category specialty sister channel to Family Channel making use of the Disney Channel name has been approved by the CRTC in 2005. The channel has been launched in October 8th, 2007
2011-2014[]
In January 5th, 2011, Disney Channel Canada rebrands to the then-current logo used by the USA feed since 2010.
2014-2015[]
Disney Channel Canada incorporated the 2014 branding in July 10th 2014.
However, the logo didn't last long, as Corus Entertainment would buy the rights to Disney from DHX Media. Unlike Disney XD and Disney Junior which would rebrand to Family CHRGD and Family Jr. respectively, Disney Channel would end up shutting down abruptly in August 31st, 2015 at 11:59pm, with a message telling viewers to go to Disney XD, Disney Junior and Family Channel for more content.
Most providers have Corus' Disney Channel Canada fill in the slots that the original Disney Channel used to occupy.
