This channel was originally called as "Disney+ The Channel" until the merger of Disney+ Scratchia and iflix Scratchia was announced.
in 2020, Disney Scratchia announce to launch channel based of its steaming service (similar to Gau, Spain and El Kadsre), "Disney+ iflix", called Disney+ iflix The Channel (simplified as just "Disney+ iflix"), it will replace Disney Channel, Disney XD (some frequencies) and Toon Disney (CatCable), its programming and content are mainly consist of same Disney+ iflix content.
in June 1, 2020, Disney+ iflix The Channel will officially launch on June 1 at 6pm with premiere episode of The Mandalorian.
on April 2021, at same day as Fox channels (in Southeast Asia and Scratchia) (except SCM, SCC, National Geographic and National Geographic Wild) closure announcement, Disney confirms that Disney+ iFlix The Channel was temporary channel to convince the former viewers of Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior and Toon Disney to move and convert to Disney+ iFlix, that channel will be available until October 1, 2021.
