Following Digital Sound, DigiGaming Sound and Digital RealD, DigiAnime Sound the company decided to make an "experimental" 7.1 format for DVDs called Digital Sound Plus in 2007. It was an unexpected success and was adquired by various companies. In 2013, the brand started to be used for 13.1 sound formats on Blu-Rays.
