on 2004, as FBN Corporation strength its partnership with Audiovisual (owner of Monster Radio RX 93.1), FBN decided to reformat DZJP-FM from latest hits ZJP To the Max! 107.9 to manila sound, disco, funk and soul-oriented Groovy 107.9, its last music before reformat (at 10am) was "Get on your Feet" by Gloria Estefan (which is also the first music to air under "FBN ZJP 107.9" name), meanwhile all of FBN-owned radio shows (aired on DZJP-FM (pre-2004)) were moved to DWRX, the first music (after reformat and before jingle and name reveal respectively) was "Groovin' (That's What We're Doin)" by S.O.S. Band, before that music (after last ZJP to the Max! jingle, which came after Get on Your Feet), a DZJP-FM DJ will say "before the jingle, let's us hear the song that define new name of ZJP, with dash of Groove, Funky, Disco and much more, the song is Groovin' by S.O.S. Band".

According to FBN Virtual Event on June 16, FBN Corporation announced that new jingle and new logo for Groovy 107.9 will reveal and put in effect on July 1.
on late December 2020, Groovy 107.9's listeners began to reduce due to DWDM-FM's format change (which change its OPM-oreinted format to Classic Hits (including Disco, Funk and 1970s musics)-oriented format) and name change from Pinas FM 95.5 to Eagle FM 95.5, afterwards, to make Groovy 107.9 popular again, FBN to consider exit FM radio business (also quitting co-operation with Audiovision Communications) by end of January 2021.
on January 29, 2021, there was rumors about FBN Corporation to quit FM radio business to focus on TV, AM Radio and Satellite TV operations, and even selling all of "Groovy 107.9" affiliates and Groovy 107.9 TV to ViacomCBS Network Philippines.
on January 31, 2021, FBN Corporation confirmed to quit FM radio business, Groovy 107.9 (along with all of its affiliates and its TV channel) sale to ViacomCBS Networks Philippines want effect at same day, however "Netflix Daily" and "Gaming Ghetto" radio programming was moved to DZJP-AM to boost Funk schedule.

on February 1, 2021, Groovy 107.9's new logo was unveiled, which will be introduce on February 22, 2021, this logo will be nicknamed as "The Funkiest radio station got new look".
