Just a side note, this isn't related to any of the other DBCs around here, this is MY DBC.
DBC, short for Digital Broadcasting Company, is a channel that was launched on June 14, 1980, six years before FOX, and a little less than five years before the foundations for FOX began. DBC started as a concept in 1978, by the at the time Fox's United Television. This network started getting the necessary funding and began in 1980. DBC was purchased by Chris-Craft in 1983, and was on the direction of becoming the fourth television network. However, Fox would launch in 1986, and by the 90s, it had been established as the fourth television network, thus making Chris-Craft a bit anxious. They decided to instead focus on fifth, even when UPN (which they also owned) launched in 1995. Viewership ROCKETED by the early-2000s, beating both UPN and The WB, which both dropped to 6th and 7th. In 2001, DBC became independent (since Chris-Craft's television division shut down) and formed the DBC Holdings company, which it owned from 2001 to 2020. Disnelo also purchased DBC in 2003, with the deal being completed in 2004, and since then, it's been co-owned. Even after the restructuring of UPN and The WB in 2007, DBC continued to rocket, occasionally beating one of the big 4. In 2020, ViacomWCP announced that they would be purchasing DBC. They bought it in September 2020 and kept it until August 2021, when all assets were given to either Viacom (or ViacomCBS), or the successor to WeirdCube Productions, TOTGroup. In 2022, YGDesigns designed a new logo for DBC to use. It was unveiled on August 10, and officially began use on August 27, 2022. As this is a recent rebrand, stations are yet to rebrand.
1980-1987[]

1987-1989[]
Logo from August 3, 1987 to March 14, 1989. The wordmark would remain in use until 1995.
1989-1995[]
Logo from March 14, 1989 to November 3, 1995.
1995-1997[]
Logo from November 3, 1995 to August 5, 1997. DBC tried to join the "swoosh" trend, but it didn't really look good, and it also got backlash so they reverted to text only. The next time DBC would get a shape beyond the C would be in 2018.
1997-2001[]
Logo from August 5, 1997 to June 5, 2001.
2001-2010[]
Logo from June 5, 2001 to March 23, 2010. This logo was on the air when 9/11 happened. WDBC's transmitters were destroyed, so they ended up airing on WXTV's transmitters.
2010-2018[]
Logo from March 23, 2010 to January 25, 2018.
2018-2022[]
Logo from January 25, 2018 to August 27, 2022. First logo since the 1995 logo to use any shape. It was retired on August 27, 2022; but is still used as a logo on stations as the stations are currently still rebranding.
2022-present[]
Logo since August 27, 2022. Still being rolled out across stations.
