Orion+ is an Upcoming Streaming Service owned by Connexion Holdings, LLC, operating under the Orion Pictures Banner. the Service allows users to access content from Miramax, Dimension Films, TechTV, Lionsgate, MGM and Many more.
The Streaming Service currently operates as Connexion RISE, and will be Relaunched as Orion+ on June 1st 2024.
2020 - 2023 (Connexion RISE)[]
The Streaming service was announced on December 29th 2020 and launched as Connexion RISE on January 15th, 2021.
On January 30th, 2021 ViacomCBS international had Dumped VH1 onto Connexion Holdings, essentially allowing Connexion Rise to Introduce VH1 Content to their service; Connexion launched Live TV onto Connexion Rise with Several VH1 Sub-Channels.
On March 15th 2021, ViacomCBS dumped additional channels onto Connexion Holdings, including TV Land Esterlon, MTV Esterlon, and Logo Esterlon; bringing Connexion Rise's Library up even more.
Sometime in August 2021, Connexion RISE Partnered with Turner Classic Movies to make older public domain films from the 1910s - 1940s available on the platform under the "RISE HISTORICS" Marquis.
On November 25th 2021, RISE introduced the first of several original shows on the platform, they were recieved quite well and more are planned.
On December 10th 2021, Connexion RISE will begin streaming MGM Content, Connexion made a deal with MGM Esterlon to stream MGM Movies on RISE, it's noted the first movies that will be made available are the entire James Bond Library, which will be given it's own category titled: "The Best of Bond", this launch even included "No time to Die", the latest movie in the franchise.
On January 15th 2022; the Service's 1 Year Anniversary; Connexion Rise Re-Launched TNT's "MonsterVision" via the Live TV part of RISE; also allowing viewers to watch old MonsterVision Segments and catch up on previously aired ones since relaunch of Monstervision.
By Late 2022, with Connexion Launching Paramount+ in Esterlon, rumors began to circulate that Connexion Rise may either be severely reduced or Merged into Paramount+, as Showcase+ went completely Free as long as you logged in via cable provider.
2023 - June 1st 2024[]
in 2023, Connexion updated it's suite of logos, including Connexion Rise, which received a more uniform look.
Concept Phase, December 2023 - January 2024 (OrionRYSE)[]
In December 2023, plans were set in stone to rebrand/reboot Connexion Rise as a different streaming service, originally titled "OrionRYSE" until 1/24/2024.
June 1st 2024 (Orion+)[]
Connexion Rise is set to be rebranded Orion+, after it's Orion Pictures Film Studio, and will be operated alongside Paramount+ and HBO Max.
Paramount Esterlon content will slowly be transitioned away from Connexion RISE as the "hype train" around Orion+ will pick up steam.
