Nick Tech was launched on June 2, 2000 as another channel experiment by HBO. HBO launched 3 experiment Nickelodeon Channels - Nick Signature, Nick Zone and now Nick Tech. Around 2006, HBO started to faze out of this channel leaving Nickelodeon and Viacom. Instead of getting rid of their channel, they asked Best Buy to get in this channel, luckily they said yes. In August 2009, Nickelodeon changed their logo to fit with the new logo change.
Just like every Nickelodeon channel at this time, they got a new on air look as well as new shows. In 2009, Best Buy didn't want to do this channel anymore so Nickelodeon asked Circuit City, Circuit City agreed but in the summer of 2009, Circuit City went bankrupt quickly leaving Nickelodeon to try to do something. NickTech went from tech shows to computers and gadgets now filming at the Millcreek Mall. In 2012, NickTech got a whole new branding.
NickTech changed their programming and name to Computers TV. Still being operated by Nickelodeon and Viacom, Nickelodeon was able to get Staples, OfficeMax and ounce again Best Buy to join the channel. Computer TV is still a successful channel to this day featuring some well known Nickelodeon Actors on their tech shows. And filmed a Toys R Us sometimes.
