Channel 9 is a Hosonian and Eruowoodian television channel that airs imported programming and original programming from around the world. It was founded on March 23, 1973 and began airing on an affiliate station, WCDF on April 3, 1973. Originally an "ABC-esque" network, that used to be the case until 2002, when Channel 9 announced it would be restructuring into a Channel 4-esque network, despite continuing to air on WCDF until 2019, when a weird switch happened for some reason. In October 2018, WeirdCube Productions announced it would purchase Channel 9, and in late 2018, became a part of ViacomWCP. In June 2021, ViacomWCP was sold and folded into TOTGroup, with Channel 9 going under Numbered Network Holdings. In September 2021, Channel 9 rebranded as part of the NNH rebrand, which has already happened with Channels 4, 6 and 8.

In 2007, Channel 9 designed a new alternate logo to be used for its sister channels, excluding 9News. This was made to break the chain of "circle 9" logos which had been happening since 1994. Originally planned to be retired by 2012, due to TWO more logos coming, this ended up lasting until 2021.
