Boyz/Girlz Channel

1999-2000

In November 1999, the localized version of Boyz/Girlz Channel was launched exclusively on Star Select. The channel was a joint-venture between News Corporation and The Walt Disney Company Centralia. In September 2000, The Walt Disney Company Centralia fully acquired all of the shares on Boyz/Girlz Channel. It closed down in November 2000, leading to all of the programmes being shown on either Disney Channel or Fox Kids.

Toon Disney

On 1 December 2000, Toon Disney was launched along with Playhouse Disney and Disney Channel +2 as part of the newly-launched Disney Channel Multiplex.

CTV Movies Disney

During the launch, the channel used CTV Digital's transponder due to it being vacant and was a promotional channel at the time. On 5 January 2020, along with GTV, CTV Movies Disney closed down. While GTV's reason was because of low ratings, the reason for CTV Movies Disney's closedown was due to the launch of Disney+ (now Star Disney+) in the country. The final movie (like in Disney Cinemagic Germany) was Zenon: Z3, ending with a special goodbye montage. The channel's space was taken by Metropolitan Style which moved to free-to-air on January 27.
