For a few months in 1981, this version of the 1980-1983 logo featured the CTV logo at the bottom, in the space normally occupied by the "Calgary Television" slogan. It was used by CHAD after it became solely affiliated with CTV upon disaffiliating from CBC Television on January 5, 1981, ending a dual network affiliation the station held since 1963.
To avoid confusions CICT simply changed to CHAD in 1993. This was also due to the callsign CICT getting used by CKKX-TV (later changed to CICT).
Final logo before disaffilating from CTV and becoming part of CH. In 2000, The Jim Pattison Group bought CHAD-DT.
On September 1, 2001, CHAD disaffiliated with CTV and joined CH.
The logo used for newscasts and is the de facto branding of the station in tandem with the seconday logo since 2007 and 2012.
In 2016, CHAD was acquired by Laserium Television Stations.
