CBC Kids is an Canadian children's channel owned by CBC Television, it airs both Preschool Shows, Kids' shows, and retro shows, it also airs shows from YTV, Family Channel, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, ZigZap, MiniMini+, Treehouse TV, Discovery Kids, TVOKids, Knowledge Kids, APTN, Citytv Saskatchewan, ACCESS, and CTV Kids Channel.

In December 1980, CBC announced that it will launch the first ever children's television channel in Canada after Nickelodeon in US in 1979 and AKN in 1980.
