BBC Two (Chinese: BBC 二; Pinyin: BBC er) is a Chinese cable/satellite television channel owned by BBC-CCTV, a joint venture with the BBC and China Central Television. The channel began operations on 9 July 1978.

The channel was launched on 9 July 1978 as BBC Two Mainland China (BBC 二中國大陸).

On 18 December 2001, the channel was rebranded as BBC 二.
