in 1991, ETS acquired SSST-TV 32 Fronopolis and 5 other stations in Stevia, to convert these 6 independent stations to affiliation of a new channel, called ETS Arts, the channel that mainly airs arts and culture programs.
in 1997, after CanWest acquired ETS and ETS Arts, CanWest decided to signed deal with Arte to rename ETS Arts to Arte Stevia.
from 1997 to 2006, Arte Stevia has secondary logo, it has same logo as above but with Global Canada/ETS Stevia symbol at bottom (similar like how Prime, DejaView and more used the Global Canada-esque style).
