Amanecer Hotels was established by Quest Hotels, created from European hotels and resorts acquired from Thomas Cook Group in September 2019. Amanecer is "sunrise" in Spanish; the name was a reference to the Sunny Heart trademark, used by Thomas Cook Hotels and Resorts which was the predecessor to Amanecer.
