In October 2016, Talestar Investments announced to acquire Griffin Films, Cartoon Gadget, ITC Entertainment, Buffalo Records, Vivo, Vivo Original Production, Channel 6 and A Animation Studios. They also sold Crystal Records and Thorn Emi Records to Crystal Holdings that month. The acquisitions are set to be finished in November 2016.
In January 2017, A Holdings went through a huge reconstruction. A Holdings was acquired by Village Lava and merged into A Studios in February 2017.

In October 2016, EFI's subsidiaries All Ireland Film Commision and CFW Wales Film Council were sold to both the Irish and Welsh government respectively. In January 2017, England Film Institute merged to A Studios and EFI's subsidiary Film Institute of Scotland was planned to become a subsidiary of A Studios, however, it was sold to Bachmann Holdings.

On March 11, 2023, Satisfaction Group Berriesland acquires A Studios
December 5, 2024, Atlantik acquires Satisfaction Group Europe and A Studios from Satisfaction Group Berriesland for $1.2 billion
A Studios was integrated into Banijay Berriesland, on May 6, 2025 following Atlantik's takeover of Banijay Berriesland.
