It's great to see you all on this Canada Day, and the greatest month of the year. It's also festival month (hence Susumu Takajima and Kagami Ochiai), where it's a popular event in Japan for thousands of people to dress up in yukatas and jimbei
If you've seen my recent Instagram posts (http://instagram.com/drillimation.official), you may notice on the card I put up I have adapted to a new art style. You might also notice that I now draw the characters with necks. Chuhou Joutai has officially begun development over two weeks ago, and I'm still working on the introductory cutscene. I've also written a debug menu to make development easier. I am using Game Maker Studio 2 as my engine, with programs such as GIMP and Paint.NET being used for the sprites and artwork, and Open ModPlug Tracker being used for the soundtrack (Famitracker is also used).
I'm going on my next odyssey next week, and unlike my Canada odyssey last year, this one is three times longer than my previous odyssey. That's right, I'm going on vacation for three weeks, and this is the first time I have written a monthly update from my new computer, since I've had it for two weeks now. If you haven't read my blog post about this (User blog:CoolGamer23/I got a new computer!), consider reading it now. For this odyssey, I will be living in a dorm with a roommate, who is from eastern Virginia near Washington DC.
Due to events that occurred over the past month, and especially with Caturrisi and IP ranges being banned on the Dream Logos and Fiction Wikis, you now have to have an account to edit. Registering is not difficult, and it takes less than a minute.
Back to the entertainment world, here are some of the things that are coming this July:
- On July 13, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is coming to the Nintendo Switch.
- The upgrade for Sonic Mania, Sonic Mania Plus, is coming July 17.
- Mega Man X Legacy Collection and the Xbox One version of No Man's Sky are coming July 22.
What about films?
- Ant-Man and the Wasp is hitting theatres July 6. Sadly, that's the only major film on the list.
This is Driller signing off.
